At Hocking College, we're committed to our students 和 the skills they need to be successful. 2021年1月, we began offering 司机's Education 为 Hocking College Students 和 teens 和 adults in the community.
Hocking College is a licensed driver training enterprise through the Ohio Department of Public Safety, offering Class D-license driver training 为 teens 和 adults alike! Both class 和 driving training hours are included in the prices listed below.
Teen Classes: Teen 类 include 24 hours of classroom training 和 8 hours of behind the wheel (32 total hours) to meet the State of Ohio’s guidelines. 你 have 6 月s from the first day of class to complete your classroom 和 behind the wheel training. 青少年 must hold their permits 6 月s AND be 16 years of age, complete 50 hours of family driving, 40 during the day, 晚上10点, successfully receive 75% or higher on the state teen exam.
Teen 和 Adult Being the Wheel Only: We do offer the required hours of behind the wheel instruction 为 teen 和 adult students that have completed an approved online course.
Adult Abbreviated Class: Adult 类 include 4 hours of classroom training 和 4 hours of behind the wheel (8 total hours) to meet the needs of adult drivers that have been unsuccessful in their first exam attempt at the BMV. 4月12日之后, 2021, if an adult has attempted their first driving exam at the BMV, 和 has been unsuccessful, they may present a successful teen certificate from an Ohio Dept. of Public Safety-司机 Training approved provider 为 a teen class taken in the past year, 和 be waived of their requirement to take the Abbreviated Adult Class 和 the behind the wheel.

的 司机教育 Program trains during inclement weather except when the Athens County Sheriff's Office issues a Level 3 Snow Emergency. If there is inclement weather, we error on the side of caution 和 use altered routes. It's also your choice to train during winter weather. Hocking College also offers a Commercial 司机's License (CDL) Certificate program. 司机 training is offered in a variety of course models to fit any timeline. Tuition fees 为 the CDL program includes DOT physical, CDL permit, CDL test, 和 license fee.
